Pat & Aimee · Philadelphia Engagement Shoot
Tom & Gina · Duke Farms, New Jersey Engagement Session
Danielle & Trevor · Engaged
One of the beautiful experiences that I am lucky enough to have, is the experience of being with a couple from the beginning of the wedding process all the way through to the finale. Danielle and Trevor are already a dear and special couple to me. It started with an engagement shoot by the river, trying to capture the special bond they share, and will end down the road with a spectacular wedding. Most people are naturally shy in front of a camera. Danielle and Trevor thought they would be, but they both have an authenticity that cannot be denied. With the photos from their engagement shoot turning out so genuine, I can't wait to see what the wedding will be like.
Brian & Joanna · Engaged
Every once in a while you meet people who are so down to earth and refreshing that it puts you at ease immediately. Joanna and Brian are some of those people. Their engagement shoot was full of smiles and joking and it was easy to see just how in love they are. I love that my job allows me to meet awesome couples that are planning to embark on such a unique journey together. Thanks for the awesome shoot! Your wedding will be full of music and good friends and I can't wait!
Brett & Jenny · Downtown Fredericksburg Engagement
When Jenny and Brett wanted to do their engagement session at their alma mater I was so excited because we went to the same school! I love that we all graduated from UMW and would get to visit all the cute places on campus. Jenny and Brett actually met when they were just 4 years old. Both of their families are in the military so they met overseas. Their families have always been friends and so it must have been meant to be for them to become best friends! It was so fun to to see what has changed at the school and walk around downtown with such a cute, fun couple. Thanks Brett and Jenny, I'm looking forward to your big day!
Walter & Laura · Engaged
Meet Walter and Laura; these two are very adorable and very much in love. We went to DC during the Cherry Blossom Festival for their sweet engagement session. Even though there were tons of people we were still able to find some cute spots! I loved getting to see all of the blossoms and spring flowers. They really made some of our backgrounds pop with color!
A few from 2k14
1. That's a lot of pictures to look through and...
2. Each image evokes a memory from one of these special days or moments.
So, instead I decided to just pick those that stick out to me. I feel connected to each one of the photos I take because each one is a deliberate composition and I get to remember the unique story within that picture. Yes, sometimes I snap an action shot at just the right time, but I am usually trying to document a personality or story by showing its simplistic beauty, quirky moments, and emotional depth. I think I tried to pick images based on composition, color, movement, and emotion. Here are some from the beginning to the end of my shoots from 2014!
