Camping at the Farm

I recently visited the intentional community I stayed with one winter. The summer weather showed me another side to this magical place. I feel so grateful that I am welcome to enjoy the nature and beauty of this thriving community. Here are some special scenes from my time there.

Allan & Marie · Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel Wedding

The wedding of Allen and Marie was a day filled with happiness, laughter, and some tears. Surrounded by loving family and friends the day was special from beginning to end.  The Memorial Chapel was a beautiful spot for such an amazing ceremony. The Chapel's builders described it as a "transparent chapel in the woods" and was designed to allow guests to connect with the beautiful scenery surrounding them.  This made for a stunning wedding filled with natural light.  After the wedding the reception was filled with heartfelt toasts from true friends and even an incredible choreographed dance that stole my heart.  It was a true pleasure to work with Allan and Marie.  They are a couple filled with kindness and joy and it made my day a truly fantastic one.

Talia · One Year Old Birthday Party!

It has been such a blessing to shoot so many memorable moments for the Shah's.  I was able to to see how happy Rina and Todd were when they were expecting and be at their baby blessing and now little Talia is one! It is truly amazing to see their family grow from two to three and to also be able to document it. It was so fun to see Talia's reaction to the birthday cake, face painter/performer, and all of her family and friends in one place. I always wonder what a one year old is thinking with so much going on around them! Here are some of my favorites from this princess inspired event!

Justin & Morgan · Married · The Inn at Kelly's Ford

What an amazing day this was. Morgan and Justin are so sweet and I loved getting to photograph one of the most momentous events in their relationship. The colors and bouquets (Forget Me Not Flowers) that Morgan chose were beautiful and the concept of putting out a few donation jars of sentimental value at the reception was awesome; something I haven't seen before! I really enjoyed getting to spend time with friends and meeting their family and could not wait for the actual ceremony! As it started the clouds were gray and heavy, but the rain held off long enough for everyone to make it into the reception. This was right after a few canon shots of course. They were a tad loud, but definitely got the party started. It was fun to see everyone having such a great time inside while the rain came down outdoors, I might have witnessed the longest dance train ever. So happy for you two!  Congrats!

Bharti's Birthday Extravaganza

Bharti turned 60 and her family threw nothing short of an extravaganza at the Ritz-Carlton. The 5 tiered cake was elaborately decorated and a gold-teal theme paired nicely with the purple and blue uplighting. The dancers from New York came out a few times with different numbers as well as some of the cousins who put on their own show! I loved all of the colorful clothing and jewelery. There was a 70's theme that was taken lightly by some, but not by others who wore sequins and afros! This wonderful party lasted into the night with singing, dancing, and recognizing the amazing love that this family has for each other and their friends. I felt so honored to be a part of it!
